The Beauty of Vancouver Island 'West Coast Natural Treasures'

Originally from Germany, on an Adventure Tour, we traveled to America in 1995 with the idea of mountain biking up the coastline. We explored the coast of the Pacific Northwest up through Oregon and Washington.  

It was when we came to British Columbia, boarding the ferry over to Vancouver Island that

everything changed.We where floored by the absolute beauty of the place. The mountains, the diversity of the island, the wildlife, and the amazing people. There where rocky and sandy beaches, high waves, ancient rain forests, caves, and backcountry trails, everything an adventure lover could want in a single destination. We decided to stay.

We felt home and at the right place at the right time and decided to share the beauty of Vancouver Island with the world. We created our first Adventure Tour company Coastal Spirits Expeditions and Lodge, where we brought people out kayaking and whale watching.

Over the 20 years nothing has changed in our love to Vancouver Island, our home now for so many years. We explored many secret corners off the beaten path and stretched out to world class destinations like Tofino and Whistler.

With Zap Adventures we created new adventures to engage more people in more activities this special place has to offer. 

We are passionate about people, the outdoors and all this huge playground has to offer.
